Comic Geek. Storyteller. Educator. Kid at Heart. Andrew Bass, Jr. has built a career blending award-winning creativity with strategic design across identity, publication, marketing, and digital media. He has led art departments at Essence Communications, McGraw-Hill, CMP Media, and Nielsen Business Media, shaping visual narratives that engage and inspire. 

His freelance consultancy has collaborated with organizations such as Jill Scott’s Blues Babe Foundation, Screen Consultants B.V., Urban League, HeartShare Human Services of NY, and the Port Authority of NY/NJ. Andrew also volunteers time to take on one or two pro-bono assignments throughout the year.

He’s currently the Art & Production Manager of Risk Management magazine, published by RIMS, the risk management society.

Passionate about mentoring the next generation of designers, Andrew has taught graphic design as an Adjunct Lecturer at NYC College of Technology, been a past participant in AIGA’s Mentor Program with the High School of Art and Design and being a former Chair of the AIGA Diversity and Inclusion Task Force.
